I went to Duran Duran last night and had such a good time...those boys can still put on a show...they are still hot...or at least from a short distance. I was blown away from the opener vhs or beta...and was already planning on seeing them at first ave next month. It never ceases to amaze me when a huge voice comes out of a little body. I'm happy that I let myself relive my teenage years...man i never realized what memories I had attached to the Duran Duran songs...until they all came rushing back during the show. CRAZY.
Made a stop at SA to check out the guy my lovely roomie was going to set me up with...he wasn't working. I guess I'll stalk another day.

What a Week

So debridement and I finally made it to the Ice Palace. Unfortunately I think our expectation were a bit too high as we were disappointed. We still had fun though...and I guess that is all that really matters. I spent friday and most of saturday at my sisters temporary house, this is where they will be living for the next 4 - 6 months while thier house is reconstructed after the fire. Wow...I walked through their house on friday and saw all the fire damage...alot more than I had imagined. They will have to replace the entire roof and tons of other things. I asked my brother-in-law tons of questions during my "tour" about what the fire chief said regarding the fire alarms and various other things. He was told that the fire alarms would not have gone off for at least another hour (the fire was in the attic and there was really no smoke...before heading off to bed, Robin and Dave heard what sounded like running water...Dave investigated and believed the attic was on fire...so at 10:45pm they packed up thier 3 girls into thier car and called the fire department). The Fire Cheif also told them that this is the type of fire usually discovered by paperboys in the morning...with the roof collapsed. Okay..now this is not what I needed to hear. I was already feeling very fortunate that everyone got out okay...but to think of the "what ifs?". I don't need that. I know that alot of people dont believe in God...however I believe that if it wasn't for God I wouldn't have my sister and her family today. Obviously, I have been feeling very "out of myself" lately. My family are the most important people in my life and if anything were to happen to them I would feel lost. Don't worry, my friends come in a close second :)
I'd say that this has been a little stressful for me...and because of that my body is rebeling and I am sick. Aaagh...can't a girl get a break.
Okay I need to clean my house...I feel as if I haven't been home for weeks.

I haven't taken my scarf off yet...and I've been home over 30 minutes. I should wrap it around my feet as it is drafty by the computer. brrr.
I've been collapsing every night on arrival from work...my employers are getting their $$ worth this month.
Where has all my energy gone??? It better come back for the weekend. Yes...i am venturing out again. Am I turning into a social butterfly? Not yet anyway.
I'm hoping debridement will want to get some food later...we have none at home. I'm tired of living paycheck to paycheck. If anyone wants to help me budget...let me know.
Just looked at my room...I think it's taken on a personality of its own...and its not very friendly. Ugh. I'll tackle it this weekend (I always say that yet never do).
Speaking of...I am going to learn how to Knit this weekend thanks to Tamisita. I'll teach whomever wants to learn after I master the craft (or should I say "if").
The couch is calling my name and the Da Vinci Code is whispering to me to pick it up.
I will give in.
